How Should I Prepare For an Industrial Flooring Installation?

So you’ve booked for your new flooring to be installed, but is there anything you can plan in the meantime? Our experts explain what to do next.

Industrial flooring can be completed quickly and drying times are fast, but if you’re having industrial flooring installed, there are still things you can do to make sure the installation runs smoothly.

Clean and clear the area

The primary task for any client having an industrial floor installed, is to make sure that the area is workable for our team. This means cleaning the space if need be and clearing the area for our experts to lay the floor.

Machinery and equipment should be moved if possible: prepare this in advance so that you don’t have to rush to move equipment on the day of your installation.

Arrange for the team to relocate

Obviously, your team isn’t going to be able to use a room when the flooring is being installed! Making allowances for this and temporarily relocating whilst we install your flooring is a must.

At Floortrak, our experts aim to work around you: we are flexible with times that we can install your flooring, so to avoid too much disruption, talk to our team about when you’d like your appointment.

Keep off the floor for a day or so

Once the flooring is installed, it’s important to let it cure. Our flooring is quick-drying and won’t take too long to set completely, but it’s important to allow for the maximum amount of drying time.

When you move your team and equipment out of the area, make sure that you plan when they can come back. This will avoid confusion and allow the flooring to dry completely.
